Airport Maintenance Worker - Seasonal

The Metropolitan Airports Commission is accepting applications to fill multiple Airport Maintenance Worker (seasonal status) positions.  These positions are benefitted and scheduled for 40-hours per week.  

As a seasonal Airport Maintenance Worker, you will team up with our award-winning Field Maintenance crew to ensure MSP winter operations run smoothly!  The primary responsibility of our seasonal airport maintenance worker is to to maintain the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport’s airfields, grounds, and roadway maintenance functions.  This includes snow and ice control on airfield and public areas such as roadways and terminal areas of the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.  In addition, this position performs grounds keeping, concrete and asphalt pavement repairs, truck driving, mowing, weeding, fence installation and repair, garbage removal and general cleanup of the airfield and public areas of the airport.

Hourly Rate:  $26.442

Pay Differentials/Incentives

• +$0.60/hour - Class A CDL
• +$1.25/hour - 2nd Shift
• +$2.00/hour - 3rd Shift

Shifts:  Shift assignments are seniority based.

• Day

6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.Monday - Friday

• Afternoon

2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.Monday - Friday

• Night

10:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.Sunday - Thursday

• Weekend

6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.Saturday - Wednesday
Overtime:

• Employees may be asked to work off-shift for extended periods of time which may include weekends and holidays.
• Employees who are held over during snow events are provided with meals and paid rest breaks.
