Equipment Mechanic Specialist

The Metropolitan Airports Commission is seeking an Equipment Mechanic Specialist.  On any given day you could be working with traditional trucks and autos, police vehicles, firefighting and crash-rescue equipment, front-end loaders, multi-functional vehicles, row crop tractors, snowplows, sweepers, mowers, and more!  

Position Details

• Shifts
  • Monday - Friday:  6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. 
  • Sunday - Thursday:  10:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.
  • Shifts are bid on by seniority.  The anticipated shift opening is Sunday - Thursday, 10:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.  
    
    
• Base Hourly Rate (Contract Rates):
• 2023 - $36.911 
• 2024 - $38.387 (effective January 2024)
• 2024 - $43.001 (effective on 1 year anniversary 2024)
• 2025 - $44.506 (effective January 2025)

Shift Differentials/Wage Adjustments

• +$0.35/hour Class A CDL or Forklift Certification
• +$2.00/hour - 3rd Shift
• Overtime:  
  
  • Overtime typically occurs during snow and emergency events.
  • Employees working overtime may be asked to work off-shift for extended periods of time which could include weekends and holidays.
