Event Coordinator

The Metropolitan Airports Commission is seeking an Airport Conference Center Events Coordinator.  This position is responsible for the planning and coordination of events at the MSP Airport Conference Center.  From the initial client contact to the delivery of services to invoicing and processing payments, this position delivers exceptional customer service by anticipating and meeting or exceeding client needs and expectations.  Additionally, this position serves as a back-up to the catering role which involves food preparation, cooking, and set-up of catered events.

The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, demonstrate a strong customer focus, have professional experience planning or coordinating meetings or events, reserving meeting or event space, and possess strong administrative skills.  The ideal candidate will also have professional experience with food preparation, presentation, and experience cooking with professional grade kitchen equipment.

Hours/Schedule:  
The hours for this position will primarily be from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. Occasionally, this position may need to start earlier, stay later, or work a weekend or holiday.  
Typical work week:  40 hours per week.
