MSP Airport Welcomes NCAA Women’s Final Four Fans and Teams
Minneapolis to Host NCAA Women’s Final Four Basketball Tournament April 1-3
Live performances, welcoming signage and giveaways will combine for an exciting arrival experience at Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport (MSP) for fans, coaches and teams visiting for the NCAA Women’s Final Four basketball tournament.
The Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) is partnering with Meet Minneapolis, Minnesota Sports and Events, and the Airport Foundation MSP to provide a warm welcome to travelers arriving in Minnesota for the games. The tournament runs from April 1 through April 3 and will be the largest sporting event in the Twin Cities since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We’re thrilled to welcome NCAA basketball fans to the Twin Cities once again,” said Brian Ryks, CEO of the MAC, which operates MSP. “The excitement starts as soon as fans touch down at MSP and sets the stage for a tournament people are sure to remember.”
The MAC, Meet Minneapolis, Minnesota Sports and Events, and the Airport Foundation MSP are building on 2019’s successful NCAA Men’s Final Four tournament experience. Visitors will first notice the NCAA branding and signage in both terminals, as well as digital displays throughout MSP.
Arts@MSP performances will welcome fans during key arrival and departure times:
- DJ Mickey Breeze will spin at baggage claim on the arrivals level on Thursday, March 31, from 5-7 p.m.
- Five-string violinist and composer David Gerald Sutton will play at the Mall Gallery inside Terminal 1 on Monday, April 4 from 10 a.m.-noon
MAC Ambassadors will also surprise and delight fans with giveaways and basketball arcade games in the arrivals and baggage claim areas on March 31 and April 1.
