Rhawie will manage revenue and business development including concessions, real estate and airline agreements

The Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) has promoted Isabella Rhawie to the senior executive team as vice president, commercial revenue officer following a national search.

Rhawie had been the MAC’s interim vice president of revenue development since July 2024. She previously served as the director of concessions and business development.

“Isabella’s entrepreneurial spirit has sparked dynamic growth in our concessions portfolio, and her leadership has boosted revenue across multiple business units,” said MAC CEO Brian Ryks. “She brings a strategic mindset to the role along with strong collaborative skills that earn her praise from airport tenants, stakeholders and industry peers.”

In Rhawie’s new position, she will manage the revenue and business development department responsible for negotiating, implementing and managing aeronautical and non-aeronautical properties, real estate, concessions programs, hotel lease management, auto rentals, airline agreements and strategic partnerships. Her new position also plays an important leadership role in other revenue-generating areas.

“Isabella has played a key role in redeveloping MSP’s concessions program, which now generates more than $275 million in annual gross revenue,” said MAC CFO Tim Simon. “Her experience also includes managing the MSP Airport Conference Center and leveraging revenue and business development growth through the MAC’s new Strategic Partnership Program.”

Rhawie joined the MAC in 2014 as a manager in concessions and business development. Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA) honored MSP with the best large airport retail program in 2018 and the Richard A. Griesbach Award of Excellence in airport concessions in 2019.

Prior to joining the MAC, Rhawie developed her concessions and customer-focused business career at the Mall of America as a tourism and leasing coordinator. She holds a business administration degree from Augsburg University in Minneapolis. Rhawie holds a certification in the ACI-NA U.S. Airport Professional (USAP) program. In 2020, Isabella was selected a "Top 40 Under 40" leader by Airport Business magazine.
