MSP Noise Oversight Committee July 2021 Meeting Update

The Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) Noise Oversight Committee (NOC) meeting was held this week on July 21 via Microsoft Teams. At this meeting, Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) staff provided an update on the MAC Residential Sound Mitigation Program. NOC members expressed their support for continuing the mitgation program and requested that MAC staff explore options for continuation of the program with the parties of the Consent Decree. 

MAC staff also provided an update on the Minnetonka Mobile Sound Study Report. The new Meet the Fleet video series was also premiered at this meeting.

The NOC is an advisory board to the Metropolitan Airports Commission and is comprised of industry and community representatives who address aircraft noise issues associated with activity at MSP. The group meets on the third Wednesday of odd-numbered months.
