MSP Noise Oversight Committee September 2021 Meeting Update

September 17, 2021

The Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) Noise Oversight Committee (NOC) meeting was held this week on September 15, 2021 via Microsoft Teams. At this meeting, the NOC recognized former Richfield Assistant City Manager Pam Dmytrenko’s many years of service to the MSP noise community through adoption of a resolution in her honor.

Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) Executive Director/CEO, Brian Ryks provided an update on the MAC and MSP including pandemic impacts and recovery efforts, terminal construction projects, and an overview of the Travel Confidently MSP program.

MAC staff also provided a review of the Draft 2022 NOC Work Plan and the Summer Listening Session. The second video in the Meet the Fleet series was also premiered at this meeting.

The NOC is an advisory board to the MAC, and is comprised of industry and community representatives who address aircraft noise issues associated with activity at MSP. The group typically meets on the third Wednesday of odd-numbered months.

The next NOC meeting will be November 10, 2021 at 6 P.M. The agenda and meeting materials for NOC meetings and information on how to participate in this meeting may be found at: NOC Meetings.
