Sara Freese Named Director of Maintenance Services and Asset Management at MSP Airport
The Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) has promoted Sara Freese to the newly created position of Maintenance Services and Asset Management Director at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP).
“Sara Freese is a proven leader whose experience will be invaluable as we transition to a new operating model focused on optimization through data-driven decision making and performance-based management,” said Chad Leqve, MAC’s Vice President of Management and Operations. “Sara is the best person for the job, and we are elated to have her expertise as we continue to strive for success while developing and executing new operation strategies that include a new asset management program.”
The MSP Maintenance Services and Asset Management department is responsible for field maintenance and trades services. It will also lead the development and execution of a formal asset management program at the MAC that prioritizes safety and regulatory compliance while helping to elevate the customer experience.
“I am honored to bring my experience in airport management to develop a data-driven approach to the MAC’s maintenance operations and planning,” Freese said. “This new operations model will help us serve our customers more efficiently while prioritizing safety and regulatory compliance.”
Freese, who is being promoted from Assistant Director of Field Maintenance/Airside Operations, has more than 24 years of experience in airport management, including six years at the MAC. She holds master’s degrees in business administration and aviation safety and a bachelor’s degree in aviation management. She serves on the National Board of Examiners with the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE).
