Jim Laurent

Jim Laurent is the MAC’s vice president of Human Resources and Labor Relations, the division that is responsible for all human resources, labor relations, diversity, employee development and engagement programs.

Laurent is a licensed attorney who previously worked almost seven years in Northwest Airlines’ legal and labor departments, and four years as Hennepin County’s labor relations manager.   

He joined the MAC in 2000 and has led the Human Resources and Labor Relations division since 2012. 

Laurent has degrees from the University of Minnesota-Duluth and William Mitchell College of Law. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Minnesota Public Employers Labor Relations Association.
