Anoka County-Blaine Airport

The Anoka County-Blaine Airport Advisory Commission (ACBAAC) is comprised of appointed airport users and community representatives from Anoka County and the cities that surround ANE. The commission brings together MAC staff and ANE tenants and neighbors to discuss airport development, aircraft operations and noise concerns. 

The ACBAAC meets periodically during the year, generally on the second Wednesday during April/May and October/November, beginning at 4 p.m. Check our calendar for meeting locations and details. Meeting materials are available at the link below.

The MAC’s seven-airport system functions as a unit to manage air traffic in the region surrounding Minneapolis and St. Paul. A key part of that unified effort is the development of long-term comprehensive plans (LTCP) for each of our airports.

The MAC – working together with communities, aircraft operators and the Federal Aviation Administration – has developed several strategies for helping reduce aircraft noise in neighborhoods around each of our seven airports, including Anoka County-Blaine (ANE). You can review ANE’s Noise Abatement Plan and ANE's Pilot Guide that outline several strategies pilots should use to minimize airplane noise.

There are two runways at Anoka County-Blaine Airport (ANE): Runway 9/27 is 5,000' x 100', and Runway 18/36 is 4,855' x 100.' A precision approach is available on Runway 27. The 1,800-acre airport has multiple fixed-base operators and a non-federal aircraft control tower that is operational from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the winter and 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. in the summer.
