In 2024, the MAC earned a series of prestigious global accolades reflecting its commitment to customer service excellence, safe and efficient operations, and strong financial performance.
MSP Airport earned the top ranking in customer satisfaction among mega airports for the second time in three years in the J.D. Power 2024 North America Airport Satisfaction Study. In addition, MSP achieved the highest customer satisfaction rankings for each of the seven airport dimensions that form the basis for the overall award.
Airports Council International (ACI) named MSP as the Best Airport in North America for the 25-40 million passenger category through its global passenger survey program. The recognition was the seventh out of the last eight years through ACI’s Airport Service Quality (ASQ) program.
Travel + Leisure readers ranked MSP as the magazine’s best U.S. airport in the 2024 World’s Best Awards. The awards are based on hundreds of thousands of reader surveys ranking airports in multiple categories, including access, check-in and security, restaurants and bars, shopping, and design.
Highlighting excellence in operational efficiency, MSP was honored in 2024 for a rare double win in Cirium’s 2023 On-Time Performance Review, garnering the top global airport and large airport awards. The Cirium On-Time Performance program monitors global airline and airport operational performance derived from more than 600 real-time information sources. MSP is only the second U.S. airport to win a Cirium global award since the award’s inception in 2011.
In 2024, S&P Global Ratings and Fitch Ratings assigned strong credit ratings for the MAC in advance of a $671.1 million bond issuance to support MSP capital improvements. The ratings affirmed the MAC’s strong financial outlook and creditworthiness ahead of its ambitious long-term plan.
Finally, the Government Finance Officers Association awarded the MAC a certificate of achievement for excellence in financial reporting. This award was given in recognition of the quality and transparency of the MAC’s financial statements, and it marked the 38th consecutive time the MAC has received this honor.
