A Message from Our Chair and CEO
We are pleased to present the Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) 2024 Annual Report, highlighting our accomplishments in the last year and our ongoing commitment to provide exceptional airport experiences so Minnesota thrives.
Delivering Exceptional Airport Experiences
In 2024, the MAC earned a series of prestigious global accolades reflecting its commitment to customer service excellence, safe and efficient operations, and strong financial performance.

Building for a Dynamic Future
As the organization continues to implement its 2023-2027 Enterprise Strategic Plan, MAC staff work across departments to pursue new initiatives, investments and programs that support a thriving region.

Connecting Across the Globe
MSP is a top 20 U.S. airport by passenger volume, connecting the Upper Midwest to destinations across the globe. In 2024, airlines at MSP served 163 nonstop destinations, an increase from 156 in 2023. Airlines served 32 international destinations, matching the record set in 2019.
Community Connections
The MAC plays a vital role in stimulating a thriving and vibrant community, and it is committed to building strong connections with neighbors and other stakeholders throughout the region.
Advancing Sustainability
The MAC is committed to building a sustainable future. In 2020, the commission unanimously adopted a set of ambitious 2030 sustainability goals. Each year the MAC advances toward these goals through innovation, engagement and planning.

In 2024, the MAC focused on elevating the travel experience in a variety of ways.

Serving Our Communities: General Aviation Airports
The MAC’s network of six general aviation airports saw a 1% increase in operations in 2024, continuing a pattern of year-over-year growth.

About the MAC
The Minnesota Legislature created the MAC in 1943 to promote the efficient, safe handling of air commerce and to develop the full potential of the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area as an aviation center.

Appendix
This appendix is prepared in accordance with the requirements of Minnesota Statutes Section 473.621. It presents MSP passenger and aircraft operations activity, current airport capacity in terms of operations and passenger enplanements, average length of delay statistics, and technological developments affecting aviation and their effect on operations and capacity at the airport. This appendix also includes the number of operations and based aircraft at each of the MAC’s general aviation airports in 2023 compared with 2022.
