Crystal Airport 2024 Annual Report
Crystal Airport (MIC) is located just northwest of the Twin Cities in the city of Crystal. Many thriving businesses call the airport home, including a busy flight school, a nationally recognized aircraft parts and maintenance facility, and a prominent propeller repair and overhaul facility. MIC also has the only turf runway within the MAC system of airports.
In 2024, MIC recorded over 41,000 takeoffs and landings. The MAC’s investment in a retail aviation fuel facility continued to provide reliable service to local pilots and enhanced the airport’s visibility, attracting users to discover the convenience of accessing the downtown Minneapolis and northwest metro business districts.
The MAC is developing a new diesel fuel system at MIC for maintenance equipment. This system will be situated alongside the primary equipment storage facility, and it is expected to be operational in 2025.
Nearly 2,000 people attended Crystal Airport’s annual Father’s Day fly-in event, along with the MSP Airport Police Department and MSP Airport Fire Department. Event highlights included a warbird flyover, aircraft displays, airplane and helicopter rides, and waffles.
