Lake Elmo (21D) - 2023 Annual Report

Located between the city of St. Paul and the St. Croix River, Lake Elmo Airport (21D) is convenient for both business and leisure flying. While 21D experiences the fewest operations of the MAC’s general aviation airports, it is still among the top 10 busiest airports in Minnesota. 21D saw a 29.2% increase in operations in 2023 with more than 41,000 takeoffs and landings.

Investments

21D infrastructure enhancements in 2023 included converting the previous runway 14/32 into a lighted taxiway and other taxiway pavement, lighting and signage improvements. This work enhanced safety and capped off a multi-year airfield realignment project.
