Aircraft Flyovers for Girls in Aviation Day Event

Tomorrow, September 25th, Flying Cloud Airport in Eden Prairie will host a Girls in Aviation Day event from 10 A.M. to 3 P.M.  The event will showcase speakers, exhibitors, educational activities, demonstrations and static displays. Attendees can meet successful women in the aviation profession and explore how science technology, engineering and math skills change the way society lives, works and plays.

Residents in areas around Flying Cloud Airport and nearby communities may notice unusual sounds or aircraft activity during this event as the event will include flyovers of unique aircraft. 

While not a Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) event, MAC staff will be onsite with an equipment display, giveaways and activities, including "Paint-the-Plow" where children can help paint a mural across the blade of one of the MAC's snowplows. The Airport Fire Department and Airport Police Department will also be on-site with a fire truck and police car display.
