MAC selects Steven Berling for IT assistant director, client services

Berling will provide leadership for all end-user computer and productivity tools across the MAC airport system
The Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) has selected Steven Berling as IT assistant director, client services. In this role, Berling will oversee on-premises and cloud-based client services, manage vendors and service providers, and provide leadership for all end-user computer and productivity tools across the MAC airport system, which includes Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) and six general aviation airports in the Twin Cities.
Berling has spent more than a decade in IT-focused operations, most recently with Anderson Corporation as an IT manager of device management and procurement. Prior to that position, he logged leadership roles with Fairview Health Services as an IT manager and HealthEast Care System as its desktop operations manager.
“We’re excited to welcome Steve to the MAC to steward our client strategies that will enhance productivity solutions that have touchpoints across our operations,” said MAC Chief Information Officer Eduardo Valencia. “He brings valuable IT leadership and project management experience to the MAC, having previously managed thousands of computer assets, streamlined procurement strategies to maximize efficiencies and cost savings, and optimized staff development and training processes that align with organizational initiatives.”
With a customer-focused, solutions-oriented approach, Berling has a strong foundation for the role that will champion innovation through the implementation of new technologies, methodologies, best practices and solutions that enhance MAC and stakeholder operations, customer service and the passenger experience.
Berling holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from University of Wisconsin, River Falls.
