MMCD Helicopter Activity Around the Metro Today

Aircraft aren’t the only things flying this time of year – mosquitos are back! When the mosquitos come out, so do the Metropolitan Mosquito Control District (MMCD) helicopters. Residents around the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) and around the metro may notice helicopter activity today as the MMCD conducts their annual treatments to control larval mosquito populations. These flights occur at low altitudes and will make multiple patterns over specific areas to complete their work.
