Mosquito Control Helicopters Are Out Around the Metro

Residents around the metro may notice unusual helicopter activity today and throughout the next few weeks as the Metropolitan Mosquito Control District (MMCD) conducts their annual treatments to control larval mosquito populations. These flights occur at low altitudes and will make multiple patterns over specific areas to complete their work. 

The MMCD works to promote the health and well-being of metro area residents by protecting the public from disease and annoyance caused by mosquitoes, black flies, and ticks, in an environmentally sensitive manner.
