MSP NOC November Meeting Update

November 21, 2022

The Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) Noise Oversight Committee (NOC) met last week on November 16.  At this meeting, the Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) Chief Operating Officer, Roy Fuhrmann provided an update on the MAC and MSP including pandemic impacts and recovery efforts, and terminal construction projects.

During the meeting, the NOC approved the 2022 NOC Accomplishments, 2023 NOC Work Plan and 2023 NOC Meeting dates. NOC chairs will present this information to the MAC Planning, Development and Environment Committee on December 6th. The NOC also received an update on upcoming airfield construction projects that will result in runway closures in 2023 and 2024.

The NOC is an advisory board to the MAC and is comprised of industry and community representatives who address aircraft noise issues associated with activity at MSP. The group meets on the third Wednesday of odd-numbered months.
