Don Monaco
A resident of Duluth, Monaco is the owner of Monaco Air Duluth, LLC, a full-service, fixed-base operator at the Duluth International Airport serving airline, military, and general aviation customers. He is one of four outstate representatives (see other district information) on the board. Monaco is also the principal owner of the Fly Duluth flight school. Previously, Monaco spent 28 years as an international information technology and business management consultant, including 18 years as a partner and senior executive with Accenture in Chicago.
Monaco is currently Chairman of the Board of NASDAQ-listed NextTrip, Inc., treasurer and director of Honor Flight Northland, treasurer and trustee of the Duluth Aviation Institute, and serves on the Military Affairs Committee of the Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce.
He is married to Patricia and has two adult daughters and four grandchildren. Monaco is a retired pilot who earned his master's and bachelor's degrees in computer science engineering from Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill.
Commissioner Monaco is a member of the Operations, Finance and Administration Committee and has served as its chair since July 2016.
