The MAC's Airport Noise Mitigation Program efforts began in 1992 and have continued through the years to reduce aircraft noise impacts associated with Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) by providing noise reducing modifications to homes, apartment buildings and schools.
The 1992-2006 Program and the 2007-2014 Program are closed. Eligibility for the 2017-2024 Program is closed. Eligible homes are welcome to participate until 2024, when the 2017 – 2024 Program will close.
To be eligible for the 2025-2032 Program, a home would need to be located for three consecutive years in a higher aircraft noise (60-64 DNL Contour) area than previous programs.
