Definitions:

As-Built – refers to information that has been verified, either by surveyor or by the contractor.

Construction Coordinator – consultant in charge of construction management and administration for projects.

Construction Models - All models created for execution of the design during construction and/or fabrication of the design by the construction contractors.

Contractor Mark-Up Drawings – the official set of redlines maintained by the contractors and submitted at closeout.

Design model - All models created for the design intent and construction documents of a project by the design consultants.

LEED – Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. A green building certification program developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) that promotes sustainable, efficient, and healthy building practices.

Managing Consultant - Consultant in charge of the design side of the project and certifies the Contract Documents at time of issuance for bid.

Outbuilding - Any building on the MSP campus not physically connected to Terminal 1 or Terminal 2.

Universal Design - "Universal Design is the design and composition of an environment so that it can be accessed, understood and used to the greatest extend possible by all people regardless of their age, size, ability or disability.” (http://universaldesign.ie)
